With the house finally to himself, Brian - inspired by the music of Yul and Liza, Babs, Bowie and many more - has two hours to choreograph his masterpiece.......  Hold My Hand and We're Halfway There , an interactive performance installation, uses four televisions, 10 headsets, a sturdy bed and 100 classic musicals to explore issues of isolation, community, secret pleasures and the age-old question, When are you alone?  And when are you lonely?

In Hold My Hand and We're Halfway There, Brian creates a bedroom in a public space with a single bed, four televisions and 50 classic musicals on VHS and DVD. As Brian choreographs amateur dance moves to each of the classic films (while attached to headset) he invites the public to join him in his room, to watch videos on other televisions with headsets, to dance with him, or just to sit on the bed and watch. Hold My Hand is both a celebration of dance, musicals, and community, and it is also a space in which to, hopefully, reflect on the histories of queer youth and isolation. The selection of videos reflects both Brian's personal history and desire to make welcome as many people as possible.
